Awty
The Awty Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in memory of Awsten “Awty” Galvan, who passed away from complications of Aicardi Syndrome on July 21, 2026, at age seven. The organization is led by an all-volunteer board of nonprofit professionals, Aicardi Syndrome family members, and medical professionals who bring expertise, lived experience, and a shared commitment to ensuring no family walks this journey alone.Awty was diagnosed with Aicardi Syndrome shortly after birth and spent seven years filling her family's world with love, laughter, and a little bit of magic. She loved butterflies, cuddling with her cat Salem, and listening to Taylor Swift and Noah Kahan on repeat. The Awty Fund was created to carry that spirit forward by helping Aicardi families find community, access resources, and receive the support they need through every season of their journey.Awty's journey ended too soon, but Her impact lives on.Our Promise
